We chose The Woods at Oakley because it really appealed to our love of the outdoors and nature. From our first meeting with Rachel we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Rachel, Lindsay, Charlie and the team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Rachel answered all my questions (of which there were many!) and was always helpful offering reassurance the whole way. Lindsay and Charlie went above and beyond on our day and we were so grateful for the extra help. We loved planting a tree as part of our ceremony which was a meaningful way to support sustainability in the woods. The package we chose was great value, communication with all the team was easy and we had the best day of our lives! Thank you so much!

We recently held our wedding at The Woods at Oakley and could not be happier with how it all unfolded! It was incredibly beautiful, peaceful and an absolutely idyllic setting that we’d recommend to anyone looking to get married off the beaten track. The owners were incredibly friendly and attentive, having an incredible knowledge of the area. They went out of their way to make the day special for us, coming up with lots of ideas that really helped shape it into an even more personal experience. The outdoor kitchen, toilets and showers were very well kept and within easy walking distance of the Hazel Bower and Bluebell Glade where most of the ceremony took place. The bell tents were very comfortable and had a stunning view of the local countryside. The Woods at Oakley have many suppliers they can recommend for weddings. For example, we hired lighting and a stage from “All the Kit” who were professional and friendly. They also have the option to hire Rachel, their event manager, who was attentive and accommodating to all our needs. Our guests absolutely loved the venue and everyone told us what an amazing day they had! We wouldn’t change a thing and will certainly be visiting again to renew our vows.

We had our wedding at The Woods at Oakley in June 2025, and honestly, there is nothing we would change! Although the weather forecast looked uncertain in the lead-up, Lindsay and Charlie stayed in close contact all week, helping us make the right decisions for the changing conditions. Their support made us feel relaxed and able to enjoy the build-up without stress. We were lucky with our suppliers, but ultimately, it’s great communication and a friendly, accommodating venue that make a big day run smoothly — and The Woods at Oakley absolutely delivered. The setting is truly magical, and the flexibility means you can create a completely bespoke wedding that feels personal and unique. The team struck the perfect balance: always there when needed but giving us space to enjoy setting up and making the weekend our own. The on-site accommodation is lovely, and having the whole weekend there made it feel extra special. Some of our friends and family stayed in the yurts and absolutely loved them — it was wonderful to have them close by in the mornings. It was pure joy from start to finish, and we couldn’t recommend The Woods at Oakley more highly for anyone wanting a beautiful, relaxed, and unforgettable wedding. The Woods at Oakley was the most perfect venue for us. From the moment we came and visited and met Lindsay, Charlie and the donkeys, we knew it was just right for our wedding. The team at the woods have been with us every step of the way, checking in with us and offering us borrowed items that we could use on the day. We love the ethos of the woods, what they are doing and why. Planting our tree on our wedding day was so important to us and they really found us a great one! Our guests, many of whom were children and people who are neurodivergent, LOVED the venue – they felt so at home and comfortable. People could get up and move around and play and that’s exactly what we wanted for our big day.

It’s truly so difficult to put into words just how incredible and magical the Woods are…..but here goes. Jon and I first viewed The Woods at Oakley in May 2023, just in their first year of operation and it was the first venue we viewed. We did not need to look any further. It was a yes from the first moment, meeting Lindsay & Charlie, Kevin & Marcel, Dee & Samson and of course not forgetting Victoria. Then walking into the woods, it was just everything. Perfect. Our day was everything we could’ve hoped for and more, the woods were in full bloom and picture perfect. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Lindsay and Charlie for opening your home up to allow for our picture perfect wedding to happen.

I will do my best to capture in words how perfect this venue is, but I’m not sure it’s possible. Every moment from the first meeting at the woodland was perfect. The venue owners are the kindest and most genuine family you could ever meet, our wedding planner Rachel went above and beyond and managed behind the scenes so perfectly that all stress and worry on the day was lifted, the animals you can wander off to visit are so friendly and sweet, the special events they hold in the woodland to help you feel more connected to trees are magical, the fact you can plant a tree in your day and go back to visit any time is an honour I never thought I’d get on my wedding day, the breakfast hamper delivered to our door the next day was delicious and meant we could feed each other strawberries in the huge bath tub (so cheesy but so fun!!), and then there’s the woodland itself. I truly have no words. I always dreamed of a woodland wedding, but I never thought I would find a venue this truly breath-taking. The bluebells, the dappled sunlight, the hanging vines, the handmade pews, arbour and tables… I will be living in the day for the rest of my life. I will never be able to thank them enough, I cannot recommend this venue more and I can sing no higher praises. 

What an absolute dream it was to get married at the Woods at Oakley. We had the time of our lives and our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous everything was. Charlie and Lindsay are incredibly sweet and patient, and the whole team is superb. Thank you for opening your doors to us – it was the best day ever. 

This venue is absolutely stunning, the photos do not do it justice. The woods are a perfect place for any event, they’re big enough to feel like you’re in the wild and can explore and small enough that you can’t lose anyone! You immediately feel at peace when you arrive, it’s either in the air or in the water but I can assure you that you’ll have the best time in the woods!

This isn’t just a venue though, Lindsay and Charlie were absolutely phenomenal the entire time, not only did they help set up, make the place look amazing and build new benches the day before the ceremony, but they made us feel at home which was so important to us, they even helped us find our runaway dog! We will be forever grateful for them having faith in us to host our wedding festival, in all of its craziness.

The Woods at Oakley was the perfect location to host our outdoor wedding. We are nature lovers and really struggled to find a magical setting that would fully embrace the magic and beauty of the countryside, until we found the Woods at Oakley. From the breathtaking bluebells to the oak arbour, the campfire to the little fairy doors on trees, everything about the woods was perfect and you could see the love and care for its conservation from the wonderful owners Lindsay and Charlie. As part of our wedding, we were also able to plant our own tree to add a personal touch, so that we can visit the woods in the future and check in on our little oak tree. We are just so sad that the day has been and gone so quickly, we absolutely loved it, and it will always be our special day!

What an incredible place and incredible owners. We could truly make our wedding our own with how flexible and understanding Lindsay and Charlie were. They made our day so fun and got fully stuck in with helping us get set up. They were so friendly, fun and joyful to us and our family and friends. We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue and beautiful people to help us achieve our wedding dreams. Thank you so, so, much!

We visited so many venues looking for our perfect woodland location. We felt we were just on a conveyer belt of weddings and a bit of an afterthought with all the venues until we found The Woods At Oakley. Such a beautiful location. Lyndsay and Charlie are brilliant, and they make you feel like your special day is their first wedding, with their enthusiasm and excitement. Cannot recommend enough.

Our wedding at the Woods at Oakley was simply magical. The venue was beautiful with so many detailed touches. Feeling the love and warmth, we booked our wedding with the Woods at Oakley, a family run business with amazing meaning and values. We could see our dream day in the woods, with nature around us and our loved ones blending in. Lindsay and Charlie were more than welcoming, open and honest. They helped create a magical day and were more than accommodating with our needs and requirements, making the day less stressful. With honest conversations and an open approach, the event was arranged and organised with the most stress reduction possible. The Nissen Hut was such a great addition to the package as a getting ready room, as well as 5 luxury bell tents. We had a magical day in the woods, and an event to forever remember. We will also send our love and wishes to Lindsay and Charlie and will always be open for a catch up or glass of wine. Thank you for being great hosts and allowing such a great event.

We had dreamt of the ideal place to get married; it was in a woodland, under luscious trees, surrounded by nature and loved ones. When we found out about the Woods at Oakley we couldn’t believe we had found a place so similar to what we had only dreamt of. Having our wedding there exceeded the dream and the expectations. The place is not only beautiful, but it has incredible energy – everyone there went out of their way to make our day very special. After a long and fruitless search, we finally found the woodland setting we were looking for with The Woods at Oakley. Lindsay and Charlie were extremely helpful and welcoming all the way through and came through on every promise they made. The Woods at Oakley is a magical location in its own right and a beautiful wedding venue. My husband Robin and I had our ceremony and reception here in June 2024, and we highly recommend choosing this place for your wedding. It is a stunning natural forest with lovely additions for a ceremony and reception.
Lindsay and Charlie are incredible people who we’ve loved getting to know, and they helped us whenever we needed it. Their dogs, cats, donkeys, sheep, horse, and mini horse are all adorable and so fun to hang out with. The venue was more than sizable enough for our small 22-person wedding.
