You probably know at least one couple that’s skipped the big wedding and gone for something smaller. We certainly see it all the time, and enquiries for intimate celebrations only keep on growing. More couples in 2026 are starting to question what a wedding actually needs to look like for them. And we say, good for them!

Rising costs and the pressure of tradition are pushing many to do things differently, and naturally elopements are becoming one of the solutions! But in our experience, there’s still a way to go before couples realise how creative they can be with their small weddings, or elopements.

Our elopement packages offer woodland clearings, open air ceremonies and essentially somewhere you can breathe and take in every unique moment. So bring a handful of guests (if you like), something tasty to share, a cake to cut, maybe some champagne, and time to enjoy your big moment.

What Is the Secret Wooding Package?

The Woods at Oakley Secret Wooding Package is created for couples seeking a woodland ceremony that feels smaller, intentional and connected to nature. Our woodlands sit above the Stonehenge aquifer, just 20 minutes outside of Salisbury, adding convenience but also a little touch of magic to your special day.

The beauty of this package, is that you get the freedom to keep things super simple or creative something unique with a small group of people close to you. It’s totally up to you. Plus, if you’re bringing a photographer or just getting a few candid shots in with friends, the woods are picture perfect. We’ve hidden a swing between the trees, we’ve got wide open views and plenty of little hidden gems made for wedding shots.

Absolutely ideal for elopements and small weddings, the Secret Wooding package gives you exclusive use of the woods for a three-hour morning or afternoon ceremony experience. You’ve therefore got the flexibility to celebrate your way with plenty of time and endless woodland space to enjoy with the people who matter most.

And although the package is designed for smaller ceremonies and elopements, don’t worry if your guest list grows. You’re welcome to invite up to 20 guests and shape the day in a way that feels just right for you both.

What’s Included in Our Secret Wedding Elopement Package?

Your elopement with us benefits from being set within a truly beautiful woodland setting that brings the whole day to life!

At the heart of the woods is the Bluebell Glade, an open space where you can, use the woodland kitchen for a champagne reception and perhaps cake and celebrations beneath the trees. Only a short wander from here, you’ll find a winding woodland path leading you to the Hazel Bower, where your ceremony takes place beneath a handcrafted Oak Arbour under the canopy of ancient trees.

How to Plan the Perfect Elopement in the Wiltshire Woods

Why keep things traditional when you can make the woods completely your own? Got a unique idea like pizza party straight after your vows in the Bluebell Glade? Or maybe cake and champagne tucked into a woodland clearing? Perhaps you’re most interested in a slow wander with your photographer capturing everything as you go through the woodlands.

You could keep everything really simple with just the ceremony, or turn it into a proper little celebration with food, drinks and time to truly enjoy the space.

With three hours, there’s absolutely room to do more than just the “I do” moment. Some couples use it for a mini feast under the trees, and others prefer to use the space for a cocktail reception.
