The Secret Wooding package came from a simple observation. Over time, we received messages from couples asking about smaller ceremonies. These couples were looking for something meaningful and centred on the marriage itself rather than a full-scale party and wedding day. Some were planning a second wedding and wanted a unique experience, while other couples simply felt drawn to the idea of sharing vows in a low-key and peaceful setting with only a few loved ones present.
So, we created the Secret Wooding Package!
Set within the trees at The Woods at Oakley, this small wedding package centres on a ceremony in the Hazel Bower, a secluded woodland clearing where guests gather on benches beneath the canopy. Couples have exclusive use of the ceremony space for a relaxed three-hour window, allowing time to arrive, exchange vows and linger afterwards among the woodland pathways.
The Oak Arbour is fully licensed for legal weddings, meaning the ceremony remains totally official, and practical details such as private parking, access to facilities within the Bluebell Glade and use of the woodland kitchen are included as part of the experience.
With guest numbers kept to around twenty, the Secret Wooding Package is made for small gatherings, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it your own. Many of these groups bring their wedding cakes and share celebratory moments with champagne under the canopy after the ceremony, too.
